Summary of Position:

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who will work to assist our Corporate Safety Director. This person will be responsible for reducing hazards and ensuring a safe working environment by providing programs that promote a safe workplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design of safety orientations for all Phoenix Metals divisions
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in order to assign and track corrective actions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual Branch improvement Plans to maximize safety compliance, culture, and employee engagement
  • Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures
  • At the direction of the Safety Director and executive leadership, produce training and promotional materials for Phoenix Metals
  • Monitor compliance with Reliance Steel & Aluminum Safety Policy and procedures and advise managers on areas of non-compliance
  • Ensure that all Phoenix locations are compliant with OSHA standards/policies
